PHI MU FOUNDATION'S

7TH ANNUAL DAY OF GIVING – 18 HOURS & 52 MINUTES

Whether it’s providing an academic scholarship to a first-generation college student, awarding an emergency grant to a woman who is facing life-altering circumstances at home, or helping fund the Fraternity’s cutting-edge leadership and educational programs for chapter leaders, your contribution to Phi Mu Foundation is making a difference in the lives of Phi Mu members across the country.

Whether you made a gift during the day of giving or promoted the campaign from your social media accounts, you helped make a tremendous impact in the lives of our sisters with your dedication and loyalty.

Day of Giving Challenges

  • Celebrating Giving Programs

Members of Phi Mu Foundation's Giving Programs are the backbone of our annual fund! Through their consistent giving, they help the Foundation maintain healthy operations, while also empowering the Board of Trustees to grant funds for academic scholarships, leadership and educational programs, emergency member assistance and the preservation of our Fraternity’s history.  Challenge Champions Paige Clinkenbeard, Samantha Gottesman, Lara Tebelius and Cindy Goldman are challenging 20 people to join Giving Programs today and fuel the Foundation for future growth!

Visit the Celebrating Giving Programs page.

  • Celebrating Member Assistance Challenge

Lending a helping hand is core to who we are as Phi Mu women. Cindy Goldman (Florida State) wants to raise awareness for the Foundation's Member Assistance Program through her challenge during the day of giving. Gifts to this challenge and every challenge during 18 Hours & 52 Minutes of Giving will enable the Board of Trustees to grant funds for various Foundation efforts, including member assistance grants for sisters who are in their greatest time of need.

Visit the Celebrating Member Assistance Challenge Page.

  • Celebrating Sisterhood from Inactive Chapters

While each of us share the bond of Phi Mu, our individual chapter experiences make our membership journey unique. Phi Mu offers sisterhood that lasts a lifetime whether your chapter is active or inactive; that bond and the friendships we share never leave us. Join Challenge Champion Jennifer Rhatigan in making a gift to the Celebrating Sisterhood from Inactive Chapters Challenge in honor of your chapter and celebrate the time that you shared with your chapter sisters.

We're challenging all Florida Phi Mus and their parents to make a gift to Phi Mu during 18 Hours & 52 Minutes of Giving in honor of the sisterhood we share in the Sunshine State! Challenge Champions Erika Gongola Gilbert and Jessi Gongola Horne wanted to include Florida parents in their challenge because their mom and dad have always encouraged them to maximize the opportunities they've had in Phi Mu. Even though the Gongola sisters are well into their alumnae years, their parents still invest in the Phi Mu experience through their annual giving to the Foundation, making sure other young women benefit from the same amazing experience their daughters shared at Florida State.

“Since applying for this scholarship, I have lost my only living parent, my mother. Receiving this scholarship has given me so much hope. It serves as a reminder of all of the people who have helped me each step of the way over the past few months of my life. As I navigate this new chapter of my life, I will never forget what this scholarship has done for me.”

“Entering the university as a first-generation student, I was not sure how I would be able to continue throughout my four years but it is donors like you that have truly made an impact on my time here. I no longer have to face the dilemma of “do I give up school time and work to afford school?”

“During my collegiate years as a Phi Mu at Johns Hopkins, I offered my own time in giving back to our campus and local community through philanthropic efforts. These fundraisers and community outreach activities … have motivated me to remain in Baltimore, Maryland as well as pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology to uplift and empower women through healthcare.”
